KXNG Crooked Talks About His Experience Meeting Tupac & Leaving Death Row

Some may not know but the Shady Records rapper KXNG Crooked (formally known as Crooked I) was actually once signed to Death Row Records. In a recent interview with Home Grown Radio Crooked touched on the first time he met Tupac, when he first seen The Outlaws & Suge Knights reaction when he left Death Row.

“I’m a Pac fan too,” KXNG Crooked said. “I think he’s the greatest of all time…We pull up. I didn’t know what to expect. I was going to check out a Snoop session. When we walked in—I got this homeboy, he real—like he could bench 500-600 pounds. One of them big, swole niggas…He was walking through the door and then all of a sudden Suge was walking through the door. And this my first time ever seeing Suge. I was young. So, they couldn’t fit through the door together. And they kinda had like a slow motion mean mug…We was like ‘That’s Suge, nigga.’ So, we kept walking and I seen the Outlawz. And I was like ‘Oh shit, this nigga Makaveli might be in here.’ Man, I turned that corner and I walked in and I see Dogg. ‘Snoop, what’s up?’ Boom boom boom. And I see a nigga standing at the boards just shaking his head. I said ‘God dammit, that’s Tupac right there. That’s the G.O.A.T., nigga.’ So, I just walked up and started talking to him.”

KXNG Crooked also said Suge Knights reaction was nothing more then supportive ,“I’m glad you with the white boy” Suge said.

KXNG Crooked thinks that because of staying out of the beef going on with Death Row at the time is why he is now signed to Shady Records.

“And this is why I salute Suge,” he said. “Cause I always stayed myself. A lot of people changed up around him. They felt that they had to be a certain person because he was who he was. And I always stayed myself, so I think that’s the reason why I’m on Shady. Because there’s times where I could have threw out a lot of diss records towards Em. A lot of diss records towards Dre. But I told Suge that ain’t what I’m trying to do. I think Dre is the G.O.A.T. of all producers. I think Em is amazing and I don’t think people need another robot just picking up the beef where it left off. We need a brand new start over here and he respected that. And that’s probably why I’m on Shady now. Cause I could have burnt that bridge.”
